Northwestern Community Unit School District #2

School Bus Bid/Request for Proposal

 

Northwestern CUSD 2 is accepting bids on two (2) 71 passenger school buses.

The buses shall meet the specifications of the Illinois Office of Education Minimum Standards for School Buses and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards established by the Federal Department of Transportation.

The complete unit is to be delivered, painted, and lettered with the inspection completed by an authorized school bus inspection station with necessary equipment installed to pass the State of Illinois Bus Safety requirements.  Please include the Illinois Title, License Registration & Inspection in the bid price.  

Sealed bids are to be received no later than Monday, April 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the District Office, Northwestern CUSD 2.  The bids will be opened and tabulated for presentation to the Board of Education during the April 15, 2026 regular school board meeting.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any and all technicalities and to award the contract to the best bidder.
