Tomorrow we will be having our 3rd quarter PBIS reward. Junior high students will be competing in a volleyball tournament. Teams will consist of four students. Team sign-ups will start during lunch today and will remain open until the competition begins tomorrow.
High school students will have the option of attending the Northwestern Multiplex. (4-5 teachers showing movies in their room), a computer game room, or a board game room. Movie options will be announced tomorrow.
Students that received a tech violation will report to a study hall during the reward. Those assignments will be sent out via email tomorrow morning.
Will we still be running our 11:25 schedule tomorrow with our PBIS reward taking place during 6th, 7th, and 8th hours.
There are Post Prom registration/permission forms in the office.
Sports: The Tiger basketball team will be announced and honored right after the first quarter this Friday night at the All-Star game in Jacksonville at The Bowl. The team is encouraged to attend if possible.
The Tiger Softball team will play at Litchfield tonight at 4:30.
The Jr. High Wildcat track team will have their first meet of the season today a Gillespie beginning at 4:00.
Class News:
Club News: Yearbook orders are being taken! They are $40 and will arrive in August, and will recount all of the happenings at Northwestern High School and Junior High in the 2024-25 school year. Orders will be taken until March 31. Turn in your order and money to Dusty in the office or Mrs. Driscoll. You can also order online at www.yearbookforever.com/.
The Spanish club is selling drops. We don't think twice about turning on a faucet to wash our hands, take a shower, wash dishes, flush a toilet, or get a drink from a drinking fountain. For countless people around the world, a clean water source would be a luxury. Northwestern has the opportunity to make a lasting impact by raising money to drill wells in impoverished areas. Every 100 drops we sell, at $1 each, equals a well. We will collect throughout March. Club members need to sign up to help.
Attn FFA members:
Any current freshman - Junior FFA members are able to run for an FFA officer position next year. Applications are available in the Ag room. ALL applications are due to Mr. Hampton tomorrow.
Attn Senior FFA members:
The Northwestern FFA Alumni scholarship is available and due electronically to Mr. Hampton by March 25th.
Office News: There are forms in the office for any student interested in participating in the Mental Health Awareness Art Contest this year. Please see the flyer on the bulletin board outside the office and pick up a form if you are interested. They are due tomorrow.
There are Tiger paw decals for sale in the office $3.00 for 1 or $5.00 for 2.
