On Sunday, February 16th, the GNW Baseball team will be holding a trivia night at the Greenfield Elementary Rug Gym. The entry fee is $50 for adult teams and $40 for student teams. There is a limit of 8 people per team. Doors open at 1 and the questions start at 2.
Any junior interested in attending the Illinois Rural Electric Youth Day in Springfield on April 2nd should pick up a form in the guidance office. Two students that attend this Youth Day will be selected to attend Youth in Washington from June 13-20. See Ms. Ghrist as soon as possible, if interested.
The Freshman class is selling Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day! Brighten someone’s day by sending them a Candy Gram! Forms can be picked up in the office. Candy Gram forms and money are due Wednesday, February 12th to Mrs. Driscoll or Mrs. Bettis.
The Jr. High Lady Wildcats volleyball will play Greenfield at Northwestern tonight with a C-match beginning at 5:30p.m.
7th and 8th grade students interested in playing baseball and softball this summer in Little League need to turn in their forms as soon as possible.
The Sophomore Class will be hosting their annual Dodgeball Tournament March 8th. There will be a jr. high tournament and a high school tournament. The cost is $5 a person and $40 for a team. For more information, see the flyers around the school. If you have any questions, please ask any of the Sophomore class officers.
The Macoupin County Anti-Meth Coalition 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament forms can be picked up in the office. Registration deadline is March 8th.
The trainer will be here every Tuesday morning. Please sign up in the office if you need to see him.
Sign up in the guidance office to meet with the reps from Blackburn College and Western Illinois University.
Lincoln Land Community College is having a campus visit day on Monday, February 17th. There is a session from 9:00-11:30 and another session from 5:00-7:30. You may register at www.llcc.edu or call 217-786-2577.
Illinois College will be hosting the Illinois College Exploration Fair on Thursday, March 6th in Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center from 6:30-8:00 pm. Over 50 colleges and universities will be participating with a 30 minute financial aid presentation starting at 7:00 pm. See Ms. Ghrist for more information.
