On November 4th, the question “Shall a retailer’s occupation tax and service occupation tax (commonly referred to as a “Sales Tax”) be imposed in the Macoupin County at a rate of 1% to be used exclusively for school facility purposes?” will appear on the voting ballot. School boards in Macoupin County did have to pass a resolution to have this question on the ballot for voters that covered at least 50% of the student population. After school tutoring has started for all 7-12 grade students. It starts after school and lasts for one hour, 3:15-4:15 on Monday-Thursday. A paper explaining tutoring and giving your child permission to stay went home several weeks ago. If you did not see this paper and are interested, please call the office or email a teacher. Please note that all students must have a ride home at the end of the tutoring session.
