National Honor Society inducted new members on Wednesday, May 1 at its Induction Ceremony held at the high school gym. Denise Bettis serves as the group's sponsor and Bre Hohimer serves as this year's President. Five members were added to the club including: Ethan Sheley, Kate Elliott, Bri Emmert, Glenn Roemer, and Emma Weller. Other members of club include: Randi Barrow, Bethany Emmert, Rachel Kerr, Miranda King, Erika Conrady, Zach Fagg, Matt Lemon, Courtney McNeely, Zach Mitchell, Lacey Norris, and Eli Weller. Graduation
Northwestern High School’s graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, May 24 at 7 PM in the high school gymnasium in Palmyra. Speeches will be given by this year’s Class President, Salutatorian, Valedictorian as well as an inspirational message by Mr. John Chrisler. Plan to attend this rite of passage as thirty students receive their high school diplomas, and one certificate of attendance for an exchange student. Congratulations Class of 2013! read more
Prom
Northwestern Prom was held on April 27 at the NW Gymnasium. The theme was "Come Sail Away" and was decorated in an "under the sea" atmosphere. The rain put a damper on Promenade, but many spectators still came to see our juniors and seniors dressed up! Coronation was held at 8 PM with Ali Clemens being named Prom Queen and Tanner Gillespie being named Prom King. Congratulations to Ali and Tanner and the rest of the Prom Court.
