On November 4th, the question “Shall a retailer’s occupation tax and service occupation tax (commonly referred to as a “Sales Tax”) be imposed in the Macoupin County at a rate of 1% to be used exclusively for school facility purposes?” will appear on the voting ballot. School boards in Macoupin County did have to pass a resolution to have this question on the ballot for voters that covered at least 50% of the student population. The G-NW fall sports teams have been practicing and are ready for their seasons! The volleyball team begins on August 28 in Brussels. The football team opens their season on August 29 against Brown County in Greenfield. Come out and cheer on the volleyball players, football players and cheerleaders!
