Opportunity for Teacher Licensure

Blackburn, in collaboration with C.U.S.D. #1, North Mac, Panhandle, Greenfield, Northwestern, and Southwestern districts, has secured a substantial ISBE Teacher Residency Grant to recruit teacher licensure candidates through financial and mentoring support. 

The attached flyer outlines the existing program offered at Blackburn. It does not outline the support that will be provided through the grant. The tuition cost you see is not what candidates will pay, if chosen for the residency program. 

Candidates for the program must have a Bachelor’s Degree. The program is intended for current paraprofessionals or substitutes who will be able to continue working while obtaining licensure. 

An informational meeting is being held on Tuesday, March 8 at 3:15 in the Carlinville High School cafeteria. Please attend if you are interested and share with others! Feel free to email me with questions. This is an amazing opportunity to get certified.
